Education

  • 2004 - 2008 Shenyang Agricultural University Bachelor
  • 2008 - 2011 Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Master
  • 2011 - 2015 Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Ph.D.

Representative Research Projects

  • National Key R&D Program: Research on new rapid detection technologies for important laboratory animal pathogens and zoonoses (Principal Investigator)
  • Guangdong COVID-19 Science & Technology Emergency Project: Development and promotion of protein & antibody raw materials for COVID-19 detection and research (Principal Investigator)
  • Guangzhou Science & Technology Program: R&D and application of rapid diagnosis technology for porcine viral infectious diseases using liquid-phase suspension magnetic beads (Principal Investigator)

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Cong Feng's team was among the first to successfully construct the E. coli expression strain for the SARS-CoV-2 N protein. Forgoing potential commercial value, they freely shared it with more than 1,200 research teams worldwide, saving precious R&D time for the pandemic research fight. People's Daily praised this act twice, noting it embodied the research ethos of "caring nothing for personal gain, dedicating to the motherland" and was a microcosm of "writing papers on the land of the motherland".
